NEW KNIT & CROCHET WEARABLE ART

My passion for knitting and crocheting extends to wearable art, not just afghans and sweaters. You will see not only beautiful textured yarns–and some of the new terrific organic yarns– but wire, beads, and polymer clay beads and buttons incorporated into my work. The first item is a crocheted neckpiece which can be wrapped and draped in a variety of ways. you could also wrap and drape it around the waist with a slouchy shirt or dress. Adding a glitzy pin can really jazz up the look!

The second photo is a knitted long necklace, also wrapped and draped to create a variety of effects. It looks smashing with a bare necked top. I added beads to the cords between the leaves. The color is a soft sage. It also is available in cinnamon, dark chocolate, ebony, and bamboo. It is a silky bamboo yarn.

My next piece is a necklace crocheted from a multi colored and textured yarn. I chose to crochet some of the circles in colored wire to add extra dimension to the piece. It is a collar which buttons in the back of the neck. I added a glass focal bead to the center element. There will be additional colors added. The one here is in shades of hot pink, purple, gold, and lavender.

Lastly, this is the same as the first piece but in luschious shades of tangerine and burnt orange. it also is available in shades of green-sage, olive and hunter- and reds-lipstick, hot pink, and carmine. It is a light and airy complement to any outfit, bare necked or not !
